The Year of the Snake Dog

We've been looking forward to reviewing the Snake Dog IPA for a while now. Right off the bat we'll say it wins the trippyest label award which displays what can only be described as a very trippy snake dog mutant type creature. Of course this makes perfect sense once the Hunter S. Thompson quote beneath it sinks in because well, he was one trippy dude, which by the way, we mean in the best possible sense of the word.

We love us a little brilliant marketing and engaging text on any IPA beer label and again the Snake Dog delivers. We won't spoil the fun and will let you read it for yourself as you pop one of these open but lets just say it has to do with Ex's, as in the relationship kind, which unless you married your middle school sweetheart, you can probably relate to.

We plan to get to the bottom of the whole Hunter S. Thompson connection after our investigation is complete, and you'll be the first to know. In the mean time consider reading this book, or at least the reviews of this book and the Snake Dog Label starts to make perfect sense. The Flying Dog brewery continues to amaze us with their creativity- consider these two draft only selections as exhibit A.
