Hoptimus Prime

The label is all kinds of awesome and this brew was a direct result of the Sierra Nevada Beer Camp program which begins as a contest where applicants send in their 'mini-masterpiece' film in hopes of being selected for a coveted spot at Beer Camp. There is an impressive list of complex IPA that were formulated at the program but none are more famous than Hoptimum, a 2010 camp all star. The brewery is well known for growing its hops literally out in the fields next to the brewery so you can bet on a fresh impression of the whole cone hop line-up, including an 'experimental hop variety exclusive to Sierra Nevada'. Suggested food pairing include cream and citrus based sauces, vanilla ice cream and aged monterey jack cheese. This is one serious Imperial.
