This is the IPA named after the revolutionary dry-hopping device at the Sierra Nevada Brewery, or vice versa. The "Hop Torpedo" is a gigantic torpedo-looking device which delicately controls the level of hop aroma without cranking up the IBUs and ruining the taste with bitterness overkill. Imagine a pressure sealed stainless steel column stuffed full of fresh whole-cone hops. Now picture a loop circulation out of, and back into the fermentation tank. Lastly think about the miracles of modern technology and industry and how temperature, time and the ability to measure just about anything, allows for unique flavors to ooze out of the hops and into your next IPA.
