Hop allegiance

In the real world the Union Jack is Brit slang for the Union Flag, which is the national flag of the United Kingdom. The familiar look is actually a combination of the three country crosses of England (and Wales), Scotland and Ireland symbolising unity under one Sovereign. So enough of the history lesson... the Union Jack of craft beer realm is way more fun, since it contains alcohol and tastes better than a raggity old flag. union jack IPAWe do like the red coat of arms design featuring a single hop over the aforementioned crosses and obviously the whole production is tapping into the lore of IPA history. Firestone keeps it fresh and modern with bottled on dates on the neck or bottom left corner and recommends a cool and dark storage before enjoying it within 120 days of said date. This brew is further identified as a West Coast-style within the broader American India Pale Ale designation and is loaded with an impresive array of both bittering and dry hops. It has been awarded a fair share of golds and silvers both in the states and across the pond.
